Friday Faves

Hey, lovesprinkles! Here are a few of the things I'm digging this week:

Autoimmune Paleo's Cinnamon-Sage Baked Delicata Squash has been one of my go-to recipes since the moment I discovered it. Quick, simple, easy peasy comfort food (at least, squash comforts me... anyone? Anyone else...?).

Aromatherapy Personals Superskin-Nourisher Naturally Active Oil Concentrate is a local brand I fell in love with when I was living in Toronto. I slather it all over my face, and am always sure to pick up a few bottles & toss 'em in my suitcase when I'm in the 6ix (though I did just order some online... so, there's that option). This particular blend of argan oil, extra virgin rosehip oil, jojoba oil, pumpkin seed oil, and sea buckthorn oil keeps my skin glowy, moisturized, and not at all greasy. Check out their website for a full rundown of the ingredient benefits.

Music video for the single "Love will save the day" from the album "If god had curves" released in 2005.

I'm probably one of the most nostalgic people you'll ever meet... but I've been feeling especially nostalgic this week. I found myself inexplicably scouring my iTunes library a few days ago for the David Usher songs my friends and I used to listen to on repeat as we drove around our hometown in my mom's Volvo until all hours of the night, sharing and musing and trying to figure our teenage selves out. I guess I was feeling kind of lost and lonely this week for several reasons and in many ways. I wanted to feel something familiar. I seamlessly dropped back into my 18-year-old self, going deeper and deeper as together David and I drifted from one song to the next. All of his songs have a special place in my heart, but Love Will Save the Day has been stuck on a loop over here lately. The video strikes an extra special chord in my heart because it showcases the beauty of Toronto and the people who live there. I have zero regrets about picking up my life and embracing my inner Angeleno, but... well... nostalgia, right? In many ways, this song feels like home.

Here's hoping your weekend & the week ahead are filled with fond memories - both future & past - and all the comfort your sweet soul needs.

xo,
